Monitoring Municipal Decisions To Build Local Citizenship in Youth (“Local Monitor" Project) - The project, which has been approved as part of the official bagrut curriculum in Civic Studies, is aimed at high schools students who are tasked with identifying a decision by their local council, following its
implementation and preparing a report or presentation for their classmates. This process encourages civic participation and interaction in their local community and council, and teaches implementation processes at the municipal level. A pilot was launched in 2014 in Modi’in in cooperation with the Department of Civic Studies from the Ministry of Education and has since expanded to another five additional schools in Jerusalem, Menashe Regional Council, Bat Yam, Holon and Even Yehuda.
