CECI "Young Professionals" Score
Sold-Out Kickoff Party With LA Lakers' Jordan Farmar
The American Friends of The Citizens' Empowerment Center in Israel (CECI) "Young Professionals' held a sold-out "Kickoff" party June 25th at the home of Jackline & Albert Mahanian in Brentwood.
Over 300 people attended the evening's festivities. LA Lakers' Jordan Farmar was the guest of honor, and Jewish Journal Columnist David Suissa served as the emcee. Deputy Consul General Gil Artzyeli represented the Consulate of Israel in Los Angeles. Other speakers included members of the Young Professional Committee Dror Ironi, Lian Kimia, and Erez Goldman. Members of the press were also present to cover the event.
The speakers presented a background on CECI and noted some of the strides that have been made in Israel in its quest to help pave the way for a more stable government structure. The dire need to secure the Diaspora's support in CECI's historical mission and how people can get more involved were also addressed.
The evening proved to be an enormous success and was made possible by the efforts of CECI's Young Professional Committee. Sponsors included: La Gondola Restaurant, Eddia Beverly Hills, Sara J. Pastries & Cakes, PAMA Liquor, Image Therapists -- Liana Chaouli, Red Light Energy Drink, Kedem Hertzog Wine, and the Jordan Farmar Foundation.
Guests danced and mingled till hours after midnight. Many expressed interest in learning more about CECI and a great desire to join the quest to help Israel. There was a lot of excitement that built up during the auction of LA Lakers' signed memorabilia.
The event's proceeds will help fund CECI's ongoing educational projects in Israel.
